The ADC080X family of A/D converters uses a modified potentiometric ladder and three-state outputs to operate with the 8080A control bus. Because these converters appear to the CPU as memory locations or I/O ports, no interfacing circuitry is required.
The differential analog voltage input has good common-mode rejection and may be used to compensate for the analog zero input voltage. The voltage reference input may also be modified to enable the full 8-bit resolution encoding of any smaller analog voltage range.
