Howdy! We’re Adrianne and Dave, a wife and husband team and the founders of Mysitter.com.au. Founded in 2021, My Sitter Australia is a trusted platform for parents and families which aims to make finding a trusted and reliable babysitter easy! Parents can search babysitters in their local area and find the perfect sitter. Or they can post a babysitting job and they will have local sitters in the area apply for the job.
In 2019 when we were a family of 4 (now 5) we decided to pack up and travel the world for the better part of a year. While travelling in different countries we struggled to find babysitters to look after our amazing kids for those rare times we wanted to have some adult time. We found services did exist to connect us to local sitters, but the were really expensive.
We decided that when we returned to Australia we would create a platform that would connect local sitters to families and parents that was affordable! That’s when MySitter.com.au was born.
Families and parents deserve a cost effective and trusted way to find care for their children whether they are looking for a casual babysitter or a night out or a full-time nanny.
Our service is purely a connection service, we were frustrated with the idea that you could only book and pay for sitters through a site. We decided that our platform would be different. Pay to list your job, and once you’ve found the perfect sitter, you can pay them directly without paying more fees through the platform. There are no additional fees if you want to use them again and again!
While we do offer an annual subscription, this is designed for people who travel a bit with their kids and require a number of different babysitters.
