Wars rewrite a country’s history. It is one of the most terrifying things that can happen and does not only affect the people but also destroys the roots of the country itself. It can make itself one of the most prominent incidents that take place in that country and can ruin the peace that once existed.

Once a war starts, there is no going back to the perfection that the country once was. It is the same when you crumble up a piece of paper and try to bring it back to its former glory. Though the paper might become acceptable but it will never be perfect.

Refugees

When a country goes to war and loses, they often get refugees. These people leave their home countries and go somewhere else. Many times, these places don’t want them either. So, the refugees have to find a place to live, and sometimes they end up staying with family members. Sometimes, the refugees stay in refugee camps until things calm down again.

For others who have the opportunity to migrate, they take it. Many people take the route and choose a better living to escape the horrific situations that persist in the country. We Are Others is a book based on the personal experiences of Dr Golnaz Rafiei, the author. Her family went through many things in life to get where she is now.

I was among a group of five young women. They were relatively new immigrants, too, not more than five or six years of being in the UK. I didn’t feel interested in their conversations, as I felt their world was different from mine. One of them asked my age and said straight afterward, “Okay, when are you going to get married? Be careful, don’t be too late for it. You will have limited time to have a baby afterward.”

She went through multiple racist experiences in England based on her appearances and previous religious implementations.

Poverty

If a country falls into s war-stricken state, its economy will obviously collapse. Many people have to go through many experiences after this state. Many people do not find proper food to eat or have enough money to fulfill their basic needs.

A lot of people lose their homes and will not have enough money to repair them. This leaves many people homeless, as well as without any basic fulfillment. The government is also not able to help its people since they do not have enough funding. Most of the money is spent on the army and other defenses.

Constant Fear Of Loss

Once a country goes to war the people will not be able to recover from the constant fear of losing everything once again. Another airstrike will wipe out their entire family and they will have nothing left. Many people also fear being the only one that survives the strikes. It is a period of patience and hard tribulations that people have to endure.

The country does not stay safe and is no longer a place of peace and calm.
