Los Angeles California
Los Angeles is a city that never sleeps. It's always lit up with neon lights and people walking around in the middle of the night. There are so many things to do in LA that you'll never have time to see everything! We've been to LA many times over the years and we've compiled our favourite places for fun, food & drink, shopping & culture and more.
Listed below are the top 7 things that one can do in Los Angeles:
1. Hike Runyon Canyon
If you want to get out of the city, Runyon Canyon is a great place to go. It has some of the best views in Los Angeles and is also popular as a place for running or hiking. You can bring your dog along if you want! And if you're interested in trying something new and different, they have outdoor classes on Tuesdays (and other days).
2. Shop on Rodeo Drive
Rodeo Drive is one of the most famous shopping streets in the world. The legendary street is home to some of the most expensive stores in Los Angeles and it's a great place to shop for high-end designer brands, jewellery, shoes and more.
Rodeo Drive has been around since 1948 and was originally named "Rodeo Road" because it was where movie stars would go horseback riding during their free time on weekends. Today, however, this street has evolved into something much more than just an area for young people with disposable income looking for status symbols at all times of day or night (we're talking about how busy it gets). Rodeo Drive attracts tourists from all over America who want a piece of LA’s history without having to pay through their nose while they do so!
3. Visit the Griffith Observatory
The Griffith Observatory is the most visited attraction in Los Angeles, and for good reason. It's an excellent place to see the stars through its telescopes (you can see all of them!) or just admire the view from afar. The observatory is open to the public at no charge, so there's no need to make reservations or worry about crowds; just head over on any given night between sunset and sunrise and you'll be able to enjoy your own private stargazing session right here in Los Angeles!
The observatory itself is located within Griffith Park- a beautiful park that also houses a zoo, botanical gardens, swimming pools and other amenities.
You can book amazing furnished apartments in Los Angeles for your stay and feel at home.
4. Shop at the Farmers Market and The Grove
The Grove is a shopping center in Los Angeles that has become one of the most popular destinations for tourists and locals alike. The Grove is home to some of the best shops in LA, as well as restaurants from around the world!
If you're looking for something new to do while visiting Los Angeles, stop by The Grove and spend an afternoon adventuring through its many stores. You'll find everything from luxury brands to hipster clothing stores and even some food trucks if you need something quick before heading back out into town again.
5. Eat Some Pizza at Casa Bianca Pizza Pie
If you're in Los Angeles, there's no question that you have to eat some pizza at Casa Bianca Pizza Pie. It's a Los Angeles landmark, and one of the most iconic restaurants in town. There's a reason why everyone has been going there for years: their food is delicious. Their crust is thin and crunchy on the outside with soft doughy goodness inside; it's perfect for dipping into your favourite sauce or adding toppings like pepperoni or sausage! The service here is pretty good too - they'll help you choose what kind of pie to get based on how big your group is (if they've got any room left) and then bring it out when ready so that everyone can enjoy their meal together.
6. Cruise Down the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH)
The Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) is one of the most scenic drives in Southern California. It runs along the coast, from Malibu to San Diego, through some of the most beautiful areas in all of America. The PCH offers plenty of opportunities for photography and sightseeing, so if you're short on time or need something new to do while visiting Los Angeles, this should be at top of your list!
The scenery along this road will leave you speechless - and who wouldn't want that? If you're lucky enough to have an afternoon off work at least once during your trip (or even better yet twice), it's worth taking advantage of by driving out there for a quick hike or exploring some nearby beaches before returning back home again later on with memories that will last forever!
7. Visit Torrance Beach, Manhattan Beach or Hermosa Beach
If you’re looking for a place to hang out with your friends and family, then the beaches in Southern California are perfect. They offer great places to go swimming, surfing and boogie boarding.
If you love spending time at the beach but don’t want to head back into town after dinner or drinks with friends, this is also an option! You can just enjoy being on the sand as long as you want without having any commitments other than enjoying yourself!
You can find tons of activities that will keep everyone entertained here: volleyball games (both indoors or outdoors), basketball courts (with nets!), volleyball courts (without nets!)...and so much more!
Los Angeles is a wonderful place to visit if you know where to go
You can't see Los Angeles in one trip. It's a huge city, and if you're staying on the beach or near Hollywood, it would be easy to miss out on some of the best parts of LA. If you want to travel around this sprawling metropolis, renting a car is your best bet (and if you have kids in tow, opt for an SUV).
The easiest way to get around this sprawling metropolis is by renting a car or taking public transportation - but that doesn't mean that everything will be accessible from those modes of transportation! There are so many hidden gems just waiting for exploration; whether it's exploring some local landmarks like Griffith Park Observatory or getting out into nature at various parks like Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and Ironwood Forest Reserve State Park (a favourite among photographers), there are plenty of opportunities for adventure here in Los Angeles!
Conclusion
I hope this helps you plan your next trip to Los Angeles. It’s a great city with an amazing variety of things to do and see, so make sure you check out my other posts on other cities in the US too!
