It is situated in the Western Ghats foothills, making Kakkadampoil an attractive village. Kakkadampoyil is located 48 kilometers northeast of Calicut in the Kozhikode district of Kerala. With an elevation of over 2000 feet, it is one of Malabar's most incredible tourist destinations.

It is surrounded by lush forests, waterfalls, and deep valleys. Kakkadampoyil has recently become a popular tourist destination, especially among nature lovers. Due to this, it is often referred to as "Malabar's Ooty." Tourists escape the hustle and bustle of city life here due to the cold climate.

Kerala's Kozhippara waterfalls are in lush green surroundings in Kozhikode and offer excellent hiking and swimming opportunities.

On the Areekode-Mukkam road, about 27 kilometers ahead of the River Chaliyar, are the Valamthode Waterfalls.

Pazhassi Raja Cave, where Pazhassi Raja supposedly rested, is also located in Kakkadampoil. In addition to Tushara Giri Falls, you can visit Muttappan River, Anakallumpara Falls, Aripara Falls Thiruvambadi, Patangayam Falls, Kodakatpara Falls, Pottanpara, and Maripuzha Falls, all within 30 km.
