Make a budget, and don’t change it! 

The most important thing about planning a Christmas vacation party at home is to keep the expenses as little as possible without affecting the entertainment value of the party. A good idea to set a budget for the party and then stick to it. If you do not do that, there is a very good sense that the vacation will become too expensive for you to host, or for anybody to enjoy. Things like booze and other beverages can pile up your expenses quickly, so make sure that you have a limited and play determined amount set for those expenses.  

Plan early 

Since the situation is slightly different then you've had before, it is strongly advisable that you start planning the vacation right now. With just a week to go, there are a lot of things to manage and plan for. The most important of them is travels and getting to the destinations a full stop while you might be at home, other people may have to travel to your home for the vacation.
