An Introduction of Transceiver SP3485CN-L
The SP3485 is a +3.3V low-power half-duplex transceiver that complies with the RS-485 and RS-422 serial protocol requirements. The Exar SP481, SP483, and SP485 devices, as well as popular industry standards, are pin-to-pin compatible with this device.

General Description

The SP3485 is a +3.3V low-power half-duplex transceiver that complies with the RS-485 and RS-422 serial protocol requirements. The Exar SP481, SP483, and SP485 devices, as well as popular industry standards, are pin-to-pin compatible with this device. The Exar BiCMOS process is used in the SP3485, which allows for low-power operation without losing performance. Up to 10Mbps under load, the SP3485 may meet the electrical standards of the RS-485 and RS-422 serial protocols.
