Simply put, the first step for foreign people seeking to immigrate to Canada under the Express Entry system, which grants permanent residence to qualified workers, is to create an online Express Entry profile.

The Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker, and Federal Skilled Trades Express Entry system draws were suspended during the first half of this year, but they are anticipated to restart in July.

That will be helpful for Canadian firms who are currently having trouble filling positions due to the record-low unemployment rate of 5.1%.

Immigrants are crucial to addressing Canada's labour shortage, according to the immigration minister.

Sean Fraser, Canada's immigration minister, says the country needs to consider all options because the economy is expanding faster than firms can find and hire new workers.

"Migration will be significant to tending to our labor shortage and these actions plan to address critical requirements in all areas across the nation while expanding open doors for late alumni and different candidates to fabricate their lives in Canada and... keep adding to our momentary recuperation and long-term success."

Candidates can use the Express Entry system if they are employed in any of the 500 occupations listed in Canada's National Occupational Classification (NOC) system, which classifies jobs according to their duties and scope of work.

The NOC classifies management positions as Type 0. Professional positions that often call for a university degree are classified as Skill Level A. In contrast, technical positions that typically call for a college diploma or apprenticeship training are classified as Skill Level B.

Intermediate jobs are categorised as Skill Level C employment, which often requires a secondary school education or on-the-job training, and Skill Level D jobs, which offer on-the-job training.

The few questions Ottawa asks to determine a candidate's eligibility for Express Entry can be answered in about 15 minutes.

The applicant is a couple who is applying and should be the one most likely to receive a high CRS score.

The federal government recommends on its website that "whether you're married or have a common-law partner, one of you must be the main or principal applicant." The spouse or partner will be listed in the profile that this person submits.

The candidate who is most likely to: meet the eligibility requirements; score the highest in the selection factors (if applying under the Federal Skilled Workers Program), and score the highest in Express Entry's Comprehensive Ranking System should be designated as the principal applicant.

The Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS), a points-based system used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to score these profiles, is used to rank foreign nationals who are eligible for one or more of the Express Entry programs and who submit their profiles online in the Express Entry pool.

The candidate will be granted a personal reference code once they have been determined to be eligible. The information gathered by the tool to determine eligibility is then transferred to the Express Entry profile using that.

In order to complete an Express Entry profile, the applicant needs specific papers, such as the results of their language exam, their NOC code, and their job title, but they are free to leave the profile at any time because the system retains the data. The individual may return within 60 days to finish and submit the profile.
