· Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary: This wild life sancturay was established in 1976 with an huge area of 245 Sq.Km. Location – This richly vegetated unique wildlife sanctuary is 100Kms away from Raipur and 45kms away from Mahasamund City. Timings – The sanctuary is open on all days from 7AM to 6PM. Price – Paid Entry
· Shri Rajiv Lochan Mandir: RajivaLochana Mandir literally means “the beautiful one-eyes” , it is the temple of Lord Vishnu. The temple consists of 12 pillars, each pilalr is the combination of fully curved figures and art of God and Goddesses such as Lord Vishnu, Lord Rama, Lord Narasimha and Goddess Durga. Location – The temple located in Rajim, near Raipur was built during the 8th century. Timings – The shrine is open on all days from 6AM to 7.30 PM. Price – No entry fee for visiting this temple
· Danteshwari Temple: The chalukya kings, established danteshwari near congination od dankini river and shankini river. The highlights of this temple is it is one of the 52 shakthi peethas in the whole country. As per the legends, the tooth or danth of sati fell during satya yuga. Location – The temple is situated in Dantewada to the south-west of JagdalpurTimings – Best for visit is during Navarathri time
· Chitrakot Waterfalls: This is horse shaped wonderful waterfalls in dese and thickly forested area. Location- The waterfalls is located around 50 km away from Jagdalpur of Bastar District and hardly 270 Km from Raipur. Timings – Open all days from 6.30AM to 6.30PM. Price – Entry to this waterfall is free of cost
· Rajeev Smriti Van : This is build in the memory of our former Prime Minister LT Rajiv Gandhi. The place is very unique anc covers huge area of 14 Sq.Kms. Location –This Van is located hardly 12 km away from Raipur city. Timings – The Van is open for public from 8AM to 6.30PM on all days
· Mahakoshal Art Gallery: This is the art of gallery. The visitors after exploring this white stone gallery can go down to nearby places like Shaheed Smarak complex, Bastar, Arang, Gandhi Udyan Park and Bhilai. Location – This gallery stands tall in the heart of Raipur adjacent to Mahant Ghasidas Museum and is hardly a KM away from Jaistambh Chowk. Price – The entry fee to the Art gallery is only Rs1/only
· Purkhauti Muktangan : Purkhauti Muktangan is established by the cultural department of Chhattisgarh Government and covers an area of 18 hectare of Land.Location- It is situated in Naya Raipur of Chhattisgarh and is hardly 19Km away from Raipur. Timings – Open on all days from 7AM to 6PM.Price–Entry fee for children below 12 years – Rs2/- and for above 12 years Rs 5/-
· Bhoramdeo Temple: Bhormdeo temple offers the spectacular view of the whole city. The temple has many beautiful religius sculptures.Location – Standing amidst the charming environs of Maikal mountains and thick green lush forests, This temple complex is built at the foot of Maikal range of hills, and is 18Km away from KawardhaTiming – There is no specific visiting time as the temple is open from Dawn to Dusk Price – No entry fee for entering into the temple
· Tirathgarh Falls: This spot is the combination of fun, entertainment, picnic, and adventure at Kanger Valley national Park. Location – Towards the South-west of Jagdalpur at a distance of 35Km lies this magnificent waterfalls. Timings – Can visit this waterfall at any time, though monsoon season will be great to see the sprinkling falls
· Kanger Valley National Park (Jagdalpur) : It is established in 1982, this National park is numerous villages from all the sides.Location – Situated on river Kolab, this 34Km long park is 27 km away from Jagdalpur. Timing – The Park is open on all weekdays from 7AM to 6PM
