Top Sydney Tourist Attractions to Add to Your Itinerary

Over the east coast of Australia lies Sydney, the most attractive and most populated city housing the best beaches, suburbs, and even restaurants. Well… if Sydney couldn’t own the credit of your unforgettable getaways, I doubt which other country would. Since living in Sydney, I have been able to travel a lot. I feel so fortunate that I have been able to see so many Sydney highlights. And I believe so many of my readers want to explore this true Aussieland gem. So, I have jotted down my favourite Sydney points of interest that can add to your travel itinerary.

Sydney Opera House

Sydney Opera House — a phenomenal architecture of its own kind, a perfect amalgamation of innovation and creativity— is one of the major tourist hotspots in Sydney. No doubt, there is an otherworldly charm about this UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can see how gracefully its gleaming white shell-shaped sails greet the harbour and the exceptional waterscape aboard a Sydney dinner cruise

If harbour sightseeing is one thing on your check-list, you go cruise aboard a budget-friendly vessel with your loved ones! With restaurant-quality dining, freshly prepared buffet dinner and spectacular views, it is needless to say…it’s a jackpot! Enjoy a new and different perspective of all the harbour attractions along your way — Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Luna Park, and Taronga Zoo are only a few. Aboard a Sydney Harbour cruise with dinner and revel in its architectural splendour without actually stepping inside.

SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium

Located in the beautiful Darling Harbour precinct, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium — one of Sydney’s top family attractions — is pretty easy to commute to.  Popularly known as Sydney Aquarium, SEA LIFE is home to over 700 species and 13,000 animals including Lemon Sharks, Little Penguins, Australian Sealion, and more. Wondering why you should visit an aquarium while in Sydney? Well…it is one of the coolest aquariums in the world and a hotspot where you can see an impressive collection of Australia’s large diversity of aquatic life. It also offers the perfect edutainment experience for your little ones. So, if you are with your family and kids on a vacation, this is one place you can organise a day trip. You can teach them about marine ecosystems and take them through fascinating adventures.

The Royal Botanic Gardens

No visit to Sydney would be complete without exploring its magnificent gardens. Right at the harbour, next to the CBD is the Royal Botanic Gardens, the one place I visit all the time — it’s my favourite picnic spot and jogging place! It’s the oldest botanical garden in Australia and offers 30 hectares of colourful native Australian plants, trees, fountains, and statues. If you can, spend a couple of days exploring the garden premises and then set out a trail for yourself. The garden has different areas such as a rose garden, an oriental garden, and a succulent garden. Bring your camera and entertain yourself by photographing the flora and the beautiful landscape.

The Ivy Precinct

I promise you, there is nothing quite like The Ivy — an ever-evolving inner-city landmark in Sydney. It’s an amazing tourist hotspot redefining the whole idea of hospitality by blending the best of Sydney’s nightlife, cuisine, and style. If you want to explore Sydney more and better, you can check out The Ivy — a destination that houses some of the best cafes, restaurants, bars, and party venues in Sydney. It’s a perfect location to unwind and rid yourself of any stress and treat yourself to a more glamorous Sydney time.

Honestly, I wake up every day thinking how lucky I’m to be able to have these little Sydney tours. If you are a Sydneysider I want you to enjoy every bit of being a Sydneysider, and if you are not, check out these amazing destinations with your loved ones.
