Explore Everest Base Camp Trek . On the fourth day of my trek to Everest Base Camp, the experience reached its pinnacle for me. Imagine waking up in the middle of a forest of sal trees and ironwoods to find yourself in a completely other planet, one with a scenery that seems like it belongs on the surface of Mars. The twisting fingers of enormous summits like Ama Dablam carved the horizon, and you're always staring up at Mount Everest through the Nepalese valleys. It's not easy climbing, but there's a particular kinship among Everest climbers that keeps you going, not to mention a warm Sherpa welcome to counteract the high heights.
