Spotify is a music streaming app for millions of music lovers. In addition to discovering new music in multiple languages, you'll also want to learn the lyrics to new songs you find. Luckily, Spotify has made it easy for you to see it.

We'll show you to show lyrics on Spotify to your songs on your computer or mobile device.

Who Can Use Features

Spotify and Musixmatch teamed up to allow users to view song lyrics. Spotify provides features for Spotify Free and Premium account users on various platforms. These platforms include the Spotify app for Android, iOS, desktop, Android TV, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and up, Fire TV, Samsung TV, LG webOS TV, streaming stick Roku, Sky and Comcast.

Viewing Lyrics on the Spotify App for Mobile

If you mostly use Spotify on your Android or iPhone, you can easily view the lyrics of your favorite songs. However, you have to make sure that your phone is running the latest version of the app, so update it first. After that, follow these steps.

Step 1: Open the Spotify app on your Android or iPhone.

Step 2: Find the song you want to see lyrics for and tap on the 'Now Playing' bar at the bottom to open the song page.

Step 3: On the song page, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the Lyrics card.

Step 4: Some songs will highlight words in real-time (in white) while the song is playing.

Step 5: If you want to see the full song lyrics, tap the card to expand it. Scroll up and down to read the lyrics. Tap the Share button in the lower right corner to share it with friends in other apps.

Step 6: If you want to share a specific row, tap the row to start the selection. Select as many rows as you want. After that, press the 'Share' button in the lower right corner.

Step 7: A small card will be generated automatically. Tap to change the default color. Now select an app at the bottom to share it.

Step 8: The lyric card will be shared on any of the available social media apps with a Spotify link to the song. Here's an example of how it looks when shared via WhatsApp.

Note that not all songs on Spotify support the lyrics feature as the service relies on the Musixmatch library to show you lyrics, many songs may not have lyrics attached. It's possible if the lyrics are missing from the Musixmatch library.

How to View Lyrics in Spotify Client for Desktop or Web Player

You can also view lyrics while listening to a playlist using the Spotify client for desktop or the Spotify Web Player in the browser. The process is quite similar to the one on mobile, though not the same.

Step 1: Open the Spotify client for desktop and play the song.

Step 2: If lyrics are available for a specific song, you will see a small Microphone icon in the 'Now Playing' bar at the bottom. Click on it.

Step 3: You'll be able to start seeing the lyrics at the top of the screen, but this feature is a bit more limited here. Unlike the mobile version, you can't choose to see the full lyrics. You just have to wait for them to appear with the song. You can't even scroll up and down while the song is playing. Another thing you can't do on a desktop client or web player is share lyrics with others via social media apps.

Despite these limitations, the option to view lyrics on Spotify on your computer can be useful and it's easier to get Free Fire diamonds for free shared with others.

Develop Deeper Relationships with Artists You Love

Spotify's new lyrics feature allows music fans to dive deeper into their musical passion and learn about the meaning of any song they love. Not to mention that Spotify can also be used as a sing-along app like karaoke. You can start a Spotify group session with friends to enjoy music in a group.
