Biobank
Biobank is the process of collecting samples of bodily fluid or tissue for research purposes in order to better understand health and disease. Other data, such as height, weight, and questions about things that may have an impact on health (e.g., family history and lifestyle), may be collected at the same time to provide context for the samples. Depending on the study, samples are frequently kept indefinitely or for several years in order to conduct long-term future research.
