EDUCATION
- Industrial Mechanic Millwrights (433A) Licence Holder
- 5+ (five) years of recent work experience in the trade and/or food industry
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, as well as parts fabrication
JOB DUTIES AND TASKS
- Report food safety and quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate action
- Ensure that all work is performed according to pertinent GMP, HACCP, SQF, CFIA and all established regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
- Operate hoist machinery
- Inspect and examine machinery, equipment to detect, investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance
