Neuro-Navigation Systems
Stereotactic radiosurgery and brain mapping have both been performed using a variety of technologies, including angiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, electrocardiography, etc. With the appropriate equipment, any of these advanced imaging technologies may be used during a Neuro-Navigation Systems technique to provide the surgeon with three-dimensional images of the patient's anatomy both before and after the operation. In the future, it is anticipated that the area of neuro-navigation will advance by adding more cutting-edge imaging equipment and procedures.
