An isomer of propyl alcohol having antimicrobial qualities is Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).

The chemical name for Isopropyl Alcohol is C3H7OH, and it belongs to the class of organic chemicals. It is a liquid chemical that is colourless, combustible, volatile, and has a pungent smell. It is also used as a de-icing agent in lacquers, liquid fuels, and extraction operations, as well as an antiseptic in compositions for anti-freeze.

Isopropyl alcohol, sometimes referred to as isopropanol, is a highly flammable, colourless liquid. It is a crucial component of numerous compounds, including preservatives, disinfectants, and detergents.
