Summertime is perfect for spending time outdoors, but the warmer weather also means an increase in bug bites. For itchy bites, essential oils can provide relief. Lavender oil is a great option because it is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. Other oils that can help include tea tree oil, which is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, and lemongrass oil, which is also anti-fungal and has a refreshing smell. Apply a few drops of the desired oil to a cotton ball and dab on the bite. Repeat as needed.
