1. Lake Constance:
The country's southern border with Switzerland , Austria and Switzerland is where Lake Constance (also known as Bodensee in German), is Germany's largest freshwater lake. It also happens to be the third-largest lake in Central Europe. The island of Mainau (also known as Flower Island) is one of the main attractions of the lake. It is home to many specialty plants, a baroque palace and one of Germany's largest butterfly houses. The cost of tickets to the island is 10.50 EUR. Visit the picturesque castles and medieval villages, take in the water sports and bike along the 170-mile (172 km) Lake Constance Trail.

Although it's not often visited, I believe it to be one of Travel to Europe on a Budget Germany’s most overlooked destinations.
3. Hike Berchtesgaden National Park

There are only you and the chirping of birds, cows ringing their brass bells, and there is no one else. There are many opportunities to cycle and hike through the stunning scenery. The main attraction
