Another important reason for implementing zero liquid discharge solutions in every industry is to recover the resources present in the wastewater. Industries such as petrochemical and chemical plants are adapting to the ZLD as a better opportunity to recover their precious resources. For example, gypsum can be recovered from my wastewater, which can also be useful for the production of drywall.
