What is the process for applying for a Canadian PR visa?

Step 6: Complete your medical examination, get your PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) and a medical certificate, and then submit your application.
Step 7: The concerned immigration officer will examine your application and supporting documentation after you submit it. The policeman might also ask you for more information or documentation (if required).
Step 8: If IRCC approves your application, you will receive a COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence) document and confirmation of your PR.

How long does it take to process the Canada PR application?
The average processing period for a Canada PR application is six to eight months. However, in addition to a few other crucial elements, it also depends on the immigration program you are applying for.

If you are applying under the PNP stream then you will hear back within the time frame of 3 to 6 months and if you are applying under the Express Entry stream and as per the current scenario you have CRS ranging from 500 to 600 you will get the invitation within 15 days.
What if I don't want my parents to live with me after I immigrate to Canada?
In case you don’t wish to be with your parents after immigrating to Canada then you should not show your family composition, thus ending the chance of inviting them to Canada, but if you want them to join you in the distant future then you must show your relationship and you can invite them on a visitor visa for a duration of 6 to 8 months and if you invite them on a super visa then they can live with you up to 5 years as per the new law.
