If your small dog or cat meets the requirements listed in the Allegiant Air pet policy to travel in-cabin, you will need an approved airline pet carrier. The carrier must have a waterproof bottom, have room for your pet to stand up and turn around, must fasten securely, and have adequate ventilation.

Pets Allowed:

Small, domestic cats and dogs

Age Requirements:

Passengers accompanying dogs or cats must be at least 15 years old. Pets must be 8 weeks of age.

Restrictions:

A pet carrier is not included in the carry-on baggage limitations. An additional charge will be levied as excess baggage.

Pets cannot travel on flights to or from Hawaii uness they are service dogs and conform to Hawaii's pet import regulations.

Carrier Requirements:

The carrier may be no larger than 9" H x 16" W x 19" D. There is a limit of two pets per carrier and one carrier permitted per passenger. Carriers must be secure, allow for your pet to stand up and turn around and must have a waterproof bottom.

Reservations

You can book a reservation for your pet online when you make your booking. Otherwise, be sure and check-in between 45 minutes and 4 hours of departure time.

Check-In:

You must arrive at the airport and check-in with an Allegiant Air Pet Policy ticket agent at least 45 minutes prior to flight time. All forms required for destination country must be presented at check-in when traveling internationally.

$100USD one way within Canada or to/from US

Forms Required

A health certificate is not required when flying your pet with Allegiant Air.

Service and Emotional Support Animals

Service and emotional support animals are accepted on Allegiant's flights. Only cats, dogs and miniature horses are accepted. Pit Bulls and their mixes will not be accepted as service or emotional support dogs. One emotional support animal will be accepted per passenger.

Passengers are required to present fully completed documentation to an Allegiant representative at least 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

Service animals should have identification cards, tags, or other written documentation, wear harnesses or markings on harnesses, or the credible verbal assurances of the individual with a disability using the animal. Passengers must also submit a Trained Service Animals Veterinary Health Form at check in.

Owners of emotional support animals must provide a Veterinary Health Form, a Mental Health Form and Animal Behavior and Responsibility Form to an Allegiant representative at least 1 hour prior to travel. supporting documentation to the airline at least 48 hours in advance of departure.
