Disney announced that they will be migrating the content available on Hotstar to Hulu and ESPN+. The general entertainment content like Star India’s programs, Hotstar specials, blockbuster movies will be moved to Disney’s sister service Hulu starting September 1, 2021. The sports rights which Hotstar holds in the country including Cricket matches (which remains the most watched content on the streaming platform), which consists of the Indian Premier League (IPL), ICC Tournaments, Men’s T20 World Cup, Sub Continental Tournaments, and Pro Kabaddi League will be streamed live on ESPN+.
