He was not only a brilliant cricketer but also a famous name among the umpireship among fantasy cricket league makers. His excellent and non-biased way of judging the cricket matches made him the favorite name for world cups 1996 to 2003. Till date the best umpires are nominated under “The David Shepherd Trophy”, an initiative taken by ICC to honor the ever-cheerful umpire of world cricket.  

Since the starting of the “The David Shepherd Trophy” in 2004, Taufel made sure to bag 5 consecutive awards till 2008. From the age of 24, this Australian player started his umpiring career. A sudden injury forced him to put a stop on his cricketing career, however, his passion for the game made him one of the best-known umpires of world cricket. Officially his score was 74 tests, 174 ODIs and 34 T20s. although he retired at the age of 41 years however, till the time he retired there was no other name who could compete with the likes of this man!  

The ever-entertaining kiwi umpire who is famous for his on-field dancing to indicate the fours and the sixes – the energy of this man is incomparable. Even the fantasy cricket game players love the madness of this man on -field. Although he retired in 2016 with a score of 84 tests, 200 Odis and 21 T20s, however his unique and stylish way of showing a crooked finger to judge a player became famous worldwide.  

Among the names this Indian captain has been an exceptional mention! He was the captain of the first two world cups for India and then in the year 1993 he made his debut as an umpire. Such was his contribution as a cricketer and an umpire to the world cricket fraternity, that he was awarded the Padma Shri by the government of India in 2003! Fantasy cricket in India would have been more interesting if this man was present in the team till date.  

One of the most lovable cricketers of all time, Bird had a great 23 years of umpiring career. Before entering cricket, he was a footballer but after sustaining an injury he turned his focus to cricket. He joined cricket as an umpire in 1970. He was undoubtedly one of the most aggressive umpires in world cricket.  

In a ravishing 17 years career Harper was the first person to be included in the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires in 2002. This Australian umpire made his debut in 1994 and retired after the India vs West Indies test series in 2011 due to some performance issues. For the period of time, he was present, he made sure that none of the verdicts he made was wrong.
