What to buy the mother on her birthday
I'm stuck since my mother's birthday is nearing in a few days, and I've not prepared something for her. My brain is without a trace, and I'm having no idea what to buy her.
What would you think would you feel if your parents surprised with a brand new sofa for your birthday? Which was then placed in the living room and enjoyed by all family members along with guests occasionally? Birthday presents do not fall in the category of care for the family, which has its own distinct time and place.
The most important rule to stick to when shopping for gifts for mothers is to never buy any items for the home (such as a new oven or kettle) because it's not considered a nice personal gift because everyone will eventually use it, and it may inspire our mothers to believe they're just what we appreciate them for (doing the household chores).
Their presents are meant to be special treats for them only.
