A good example of a Cosmetic Surfactants is sodium stearate. In soap, it is the most frequent surfactant. 4-(5-dodecyl)benzenesulfonate is another popular surfactant. Docusate (dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate), alkyl ether phosphates, benzalkaonium chloride (BAC), and perfluorooctanesulfonate are some more examples (PFOS).
