Treatment of Obstructed Vessels Using the PTA balloon catheter
PTA balloons are available in various shapes, sizes, and lengths, depending on the anatomy they are intended to be treated with.

The cage forces the balloon to develop a series of segmented grooves and cushions throughout the entire wound as it inflates. The grooves release stress and prevent the dissection from expanding, while the cushions exert force to create the tiny dissections required for successful dilatation.

PTA stands for percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (percutaneous means through the skin). PTA Balloon Catheter is a novel medical device that treats constricted blood arteries by inserting it into the radial artery in the arm or the femoral artery in the leg.
