Non-silicate minerals have a simpler structure because they lack the silicate tetrahedral structure. They are classified into six kinds based on their composition and internal structure. The most common minerals on the earth are silicates, which contain silicon, oxygen, and magnesium. Furthermore, these minerals serve a variety of purposes and provide metallic resources.
