Click the name of the section you want to open in OneNote for web. OneNote will inform you when the section is password protected. You can either press the Enter key on the keyboard or click the message using your mouse. Enter the password to unlock the section when prompted.
OneNote will create an entry in its cache if OneNote is open while the computer goes into Sleep Mode. This prevents the user from losing any data. This prevents OneNote's ability to reopen correctly after being taken out of Sleep Mode. OneNote is specifically looking for Cached user credentials.
