The Case Destruction Workflowprovides users the ability to set up case destruction formulas to determine theproper date when cases become eligible for destruction. When the case isclosed, the workflow runs and generates.
The calculated destruction date which is stored on the FileLocation tab of the case. Differentformulas may be set up based on case type.
Users may also decide if theywant the system to automatically destroy the files or allow for manualdestruction. For the manual process, a search and select grid isavailable for users to search for eligible files across a date range and selectindividually or in bulk for these cases to be deleted.
A record is maintained in a specialgrid of any destroyed files, whether they were automatically or manuallydestroyed. The grid provides an audit trail andallows for reporting across date ranges.
