A light fixture, also known as a light fitting, is an electrical appliance that houses a lighting lamp. The two most critical components of a lighting fixture are the lamp socket and the fixture body. A luminaire is a light fixture with an electrical lamp within. The lighting fixture also includes an electric ballast, reflectors, an aperture, and an outer shell that serves as a protective cover for the electric lamp.
Various materials are used to create Lighting Fixtures. Frequently, the underlying material and the material used to finish the surface are not the same. The fixture itself could be made of metal, resin, or other materials, with a protective and ornamental coating applied on top. This is commonly referred to as the fixture's finish.
Light fixtures, in particular, with significant expanses of framework or body, as well as some shades, have a decorative finish on the main body of the item. Bronze, brass, silver, and chrome, for example, are popular choices. There are many more, and each manufacturer's finishes have their own names. What one person may refer to as "oil rubbed bronze," another may refer to a comparable finish as "black coffee." As a result, utilize your vision to determine how it appears to your eyes.
