About the Author

Charlene Nwoke is an educator who has taught in underserved communities. Her compassion and innate abilities to connect with her students have made her loved by many. These relationships, and a strong desire for her students to see themselves in literature, propelled the story for her first book.

In her spare time, she enjoys creating curriculum and resources for students and teachers. She also enjoys spending time with her son on the basketball court. Her passion for writing continues as she develops a storyline for her next book.
