Was the time WoTLK Classic Gold when the decision was taken to begin work on this?
This has been an ongoing internal debate. It's likely that this debate has been going on throughout the years, right? This year, however, it reached an extreme level and we actually had many internal discussions in order to make sure that we deliver an excellent experience for our players. My guess was going to be our capacity to carry out Blizzard quality that goes back many years. We don't want to ruin the experience. This must be a genuine experience. On the other hand that people do not want to see any kind of funky bugs like were around back then.
Are you working with the teams that were trying to build their own classic servers or is this entirely separate?
This is completely internal. As I mentioned, we're fortunate that a lot of players who worked on the original WoW are in the team right now, and they're super jazzed. We've set up another, distinct sub- Steam as part of the main World of Warcraft team to be focused on this, so we don't have to give away resources. It's been a constant difficulty for us: there's numerous great things we could do with WoW. Should we revisit and accomplish this or include this feature in World of Warcraft ? This was the biggest decision for us. We've decided to form a special team for it. Anyone who is interested, we're gonna have them volunteer or apply or try to be a part of the team. We'll ensure that to ensure buy WOW WoTLK Classic Gold they're successful.
