Do you ever feel overwhelmed and confused about skin care treatments? So many competitive brands, skin gurus, and advertisements tell you they're the one!

Can be an awful lot of pressure to figure out what is right or how things should align. But don't worry. We're here for your rescue with a detailed guide about simple skincare that will help you choose.

  • What product comes in when?

  • How to use it?

  • What type will suit you best, considering your skin type?

First of all, let's get one thing very straight, remarkable skin is not just simply a matter of DNA or just good genes, In Fact, it relies on a lot of things such as what you eat, how polluted your environment is, and how well you maintain and take care of your skin with care and skin treatments. These factors have a big impact on what you see in the mirror. Caring for your skin is simply personal. You will have to observe and reflect on a lot to see what works for you.

Here's our take on what a standard skincare regime should look like;

Step 1: Cleanse

Skin Health Experts recommend that at the beginning and end of each day one should wash their face with the right amount of cleanser for their skin type. Why do you ask? Well, during an average day, your skin faces a lot, of dead skin cells, dirt, oils, pollution and impurities which all collect on your face. That's why it is advised to consistently clean your skin with the right cleanser based on skin type. As this improves your ability to avoid clogged pores, acne, breakouts, and premature aging

Although it is recommended to use a cleanser with AHAs, enzymes and essential acids to clean out dirt, oil, makeup, and other impurities while maintaining your skin's natural hydration and not stripping it away.

Step 2: Exfoliate

While exfoliation is not a required step in a basic skincare routine, you can put it as an optional choice, but once you see its skin game-changer benefits, you might not consider keeping it an option. Exfoliation is an efficient and effective way to improve the look of the skin. What does it do? Removes dead surface skin cells, consists of regimens to break through hardened dead skin cells to avoid blocked penetration and helps prep the skin for better absorption for the rest of your skincare steps to come.

Step 3: Hydrate

Who does not want plump and glass skin? Well, that's achievable if you keep your skin hydrated. Hydration is the most essential part of skin care as sometimes our skin is too dry or when we cleanse the skin we strip it off oils and hydration necessary for it to function. So to help you recover from some lost moisture, go for any product expertly formulated with Hyaluronic Acid to instantly smooth, firm, and plump, making those visible lines and dryness all disappear! Your preferred option to use hyaluronic acid would be anything, such as serums, cream, mist or even masks. The results of hydriodic acid are so impressive that even though this is a basic skincare step, the results are so fine and flawless that no matter the rush you will never skip this step

Step 4: Moisturise

After you're done cleansing, exfoliating, and hydration, comes in, locking everything up with moisturization. When choosing a moisturiser for yourself, ensure it is lightweight, fast-absorbing, and packed with good nutrients and Peptides to help you the most. Make sure it smooths the look of fine lines and wrinkles while improving skin firmness.

Step 5: Protect

Now we come down to our final step: after loading your skin with antioxidants and moisture, it's time to protect it from the day ahead. Remember that no matter how simple or convenient you make your skincare routine, do not ditch the sunscreen. Sunscreen is a way to protect your skin cells and acts as armour against the outside world - especially harmful UV rays. 80% of premature aging is caused by the sun. Wouldn’t you apply SPF every day to prevent and protect your beautiful skin?

When choosing which sunscreen to incorporate into your basic skincare routine, we recommend applying sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more. An SPF of 30 or higher will help protect your skin from premature aging and harmful irritants

Make the most out of your simple skincare routine by absorbing and deflecting the sun's UV rays with Daily Deflector Mineral Sunscreen. Expertly formulated, this sun care product hydrates and strengthens skin, helps protect from blue light, and is easy to apply!

Lastly, no matter what product you use might not help you that mcu if you are not eating healthy, getting enough sleep, and staying hydrated. This will keep your skin healthy-looking as you age. Another point one should remember with skincare is that every product deserves a chance to perform and prove itself to you. But be mindful if it's still not working out, please switch it! Seasonality, diet, and ageing all contribute to your skin's health and may require you to switch up your products now and then.
