Everything You Need to Know about DACA Mortgage Loans in Chicago, IL
How can you get DACA Mortgage Loans in Chicago, IL? Read below to know the home loan options available for DACA recipients.

DACA stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, and it is a government-sponsored program that protects the children of illegal immigrants from being deported from the United States. These children were brought in as minors, with little or no say in the matter, and have gradually built a life for themselves in the United States.

This Obama executive order permits them to stay in the United States and receive a work permit, a driver's license, and a social security card. These DACA recipients are also known as Dreamers because the majority of these immigrants came to America to pursue the American dream for their children.

DACA banking is one of the most difficult hurdles that a DACA recipient may face, despite all of their hard work. It is difficult to obtain finance since few banks are willing to lend to these "high-risk" citizens. Thankfully, there are still some lending choices available to these individuals.

Is it Possible for DACA Recipients to Purchase a Home?

There is no reason why you should be unable to obtain a loan while under DACA. Granted, you may not be able to obtain a typical bank loan – but there are several simple options available to help you obtain a house loan. For example, the FHA offers financial assistance to DACA participants who want to buy a house.

FHA DACA Loan

The following are the four primary conditions for a non-permanent resident to qualify for an FHA loan:

Your principal residence will be the property you pay off with the loan.

     Your SSN must be current.

You've fulfilled all of the other standard qualifications for all other citizens of the United States.

You've brought documentation of an Employment Authorization Document from USCIS, indicating that you're allowed to work in the United States.

DACA Conventional Loans

You can also apply for conventional loans from private lenders if you are a DACA beneficiary. These loans usually do not require as much documentation, and you should not be rejected a loan even if you are deemed a risk factor. The main drawback is that you will almost certainly have a higher interest rate and a credit score of at least 650.

Documents Required for a DACA Loan

To apply for a DACA mortgage, you'll need the following three documents:

     Your social security number

Your EAD card has already expired.

USCIS has awarded you an EAD card.

You should still be able to obtain DACA loans as a DACA holder, but you'll need to know where to seek them. Given the risk, there's a slim chance you'll obtain that help from a source, which is why you'll have to be inventive with your investigation.
