Samsung Galaxy Watch
Our best smartwatch available now is from Samsung, and instead of being called the Gear S4 as you might think, it's the Galaxy Watch. Designed to succeed 2017's Gear S3 and Gear Sport lines, the Galaxy Watch is vastly improved.
We tested the 46mm wide version of the watch and it has a phenomenal four-day battery life even under heavy use. It's impressive knowing that many watches in our selection are only satisfied with a day of autonomy.
The rotating dial remains a strong point of navigation relying on the Tizen OS operating system, and the user interface is one of the simplest we've seen for a smartwatch.
The apps available for the watch are more limited than for the Wear OS or watchOS – two popular smartwatch OSes – but it has the basic features and Samsung has been able to market a watch that is suitable for both fitness and sports with great design and lots of functions.
And after ? It won't just be a reissue of the Samsung Galaxy Watch, but the Korean manufacturer has introduced the new Galaxy Watch Active. This is a sportier version without the rotary dial, with a lower price.

Apple Watch 5 GPS
The Apple Watch failed to make it to the top spot on our list, but it's still the best smartwatch to get if you have an iPhone. It works perfectly with Apple smartphones and is a model to strongly consider if you plan to remain in the Apple ecosystem for the next few years.
It doesn't bring any major updates over the previous model, the Apple Watch 4, except for the screen,amazfit smartwatch 14 which is now always readable thanks to the Always On Display feature implemented here for the first time. Which means you won't have to lift the watch to access your essential stats, instead it will always display most of the information you need on its dimmed screen.
