Brandalize Christianity
Our first target was Christian Brandalais, a senior software engineer who came to angel one trading with a unique background. He was born in Brazil to parents who later both worked in the Chicago business world. Her mother provided a strong family connection to business from her job on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade, while her father worked on the floor for a commercial farm and traded agricultural products.
Despite his close ties to the business world, Christian decided to take up aviation. He studied human factors in aviation at the University of Illinois and became a commercial pilot.
So how did you go from commercial driver to angel one engineer? To be cliche, it worked. Although he didn't set out to be a businessman, he admitted that he was a business genius long before he started programming. After using the trading platform for the first time, Christian wondered what he could do. So when he got a little bored with his job as a pilot, he decided to do a boot camp and learn to code. His passion for problem solving led him to boot camp and helped him land his first job as a programmer. After honing his skills in various companies including ETRADE, he joined angel one.
Over the past few years, Christian has contributed to several high-level development efforts and touched many aspects of the angel one platform, from devices and other angel one screen components to the angel one OMS order management system. With that in mind, we asked Christian to talk about some of his favorite projects.
