What are the PMP Certification Requirements?
You must validate your education and PMP Certification Eligibility in order to take the exam. Following are the PMP certification eligibility criteria:
35 hours of project management training, which means coursework that specifically addressed project management learning objectives. A Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® certification can be used instead.
36 months of project management experience if you have a four-year degree, or 60 months of project management experience if you have a high school diploma or an associate's degree.
PMP exam fees
The exam fee was $555 for non-PMI members and $405 for PMI members in 2021. A PMI membership costs $129 per year, plus a one-time $10 application fee, making the exam slightly less expensive with a membership.

PMP certification renewal
The PMP certification is valid for three years, but it can be renewed or maintained by accumulating 60 professional development units (defined as hours spent on approved professional development activities) during that time period.
