In the Puranas, stories of sins, virtues, dharmas, and karmas are told, with different deities as the focus. The various forms of gods and goddesses and their evil tendencies are also widely mentioned in the Puranas. But its main goal is the development of virtue and the prestige of truth. Of course the Puranas do not have the same status as the Vedas and Upanishads. The Puranas have an important place in the Sanatan Dharma. Each Purana is written for a different reason. If one wants to understand the reason behind the rituals performed in every worship, then one should only study the Puranas.
It gives us knowledge of the forms of God and the principles of His life and glory through His entertainment. Puranas can also be said to be a reflection of the past, future and present of humans. By looking at his past in this mirror, he can improve his present and brighten his future. Whatever happened in the past, whatever happened in the present, and whatever will happen in the future, says the Puranas.
