Bio-Butanol is a Renewable Fuel Obtained from Biomass That can be Created by Fermentation
Bio-butanol is a renewable fuel that can be made utilising fermentation techniques from biomass (plant material).

Bio-butanol is a renewable fuel that can be made utilising fermentation techniques from biomass (plant material). It is a clear liquid with no flavour or aroma. While butanol and ethanol are chemically related, butanol is less harmful than ethanol. Enzymes are used to transform cellulose and hemicellulose into fermentable sugars, which is the first step in the manufacture of Bio-Butanol. The sugars are then transformed into alcohol and carbon dioxide by the addition of yeast. The alcohol is finally separated from the residual solids during distillation.
