Beeswax Food Wraps: Everything You Need To Know

For those of you who believe in a sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle, the greatest challenge is finding brands that create products keeping in mind this ethos. There is often a lack of eco-friendly options, which leads you to use some products simply because there are no substitutes for them.

Consider the food packaging market. It is dominated by plastic or aluminium foil. There are very few eco-friendly options available in India. This is why Urban Creative designed Madhu Wrap beeswax food wraps. These reusable food wraps are made with GOTS-certified organic cotton, organic cold-pressed coconut oil, natural tree dammar gum, and of course, natural and organic unbleached beeswax. Beeswax and coconut oil have antibacterial and antifungal properties, ensuring that food stays fresh for longer.

All the ingredients are locally and ethically sourced.. . These beeswax wraps are reusable because they can be washed. With careful usage and proper adherence to instructions, these organic Madhu food wraps can last you eight to ten months! Moreover, they can be used up to 100 times!

What can the Madhu wrap be used for? It is best used to store or pack foods like sandwiches, rolls, raw fruit, rotis, cheese and cakes. The wrap takes the shape of the food or vessel inside, while the warmth of your hands helps shape it. However, these wraps should not be used for extremely greasy foods as they can make the beeswax dissolve. Raw meat should also not be packaged in these wraps.

. They help to reduce plastic usage greatly, resulting in less waste generation. You can buy these organic food wraps at https://urbancreative.co.in/beeswax-food-wraps/.

What are some tips to use beeswax wraps?

·        Beeswax melts at a temperature of 60°C, so do not place very hoot foods in the wrap. Let it cool down before packing it in the beeswax food wraps.

·        Do not place the wraps in a microwave oven or convection oven. Store them in cool areas, away from heat sources.

·        The wraps should be washed in cold water with a diluted soap solution if needed. Hang them out to dry and reuse!

·        Avoid placing greasy food in the wraps as the wax will be dissolved and the stains will be tough to remove.

These reusable food wraps are perfect for packing lunchboxes or snacks on the go!
