In the targeted draw, 125 British Columbia immigrants were encouraged to seek a provincial nomination, which included a tech category. A total of 16 nominations were filed for the targeted NOC for Childcare: Early Childhood Educators and Assistants, which got less than 5 invites (NOC 4214).

On a regular basis, the BC PNP will issue invites to people in the registration pool to apply for the programme. The information supplied in registrations is used to construct ITAs. Based on one or more of the following qualities, the information supplied in the registrations will be used to rank, select, and invite persons who are most likely to meet B.C.'s economic and labour market demands:
- Academic achievement – level and area of study, as well as a place of study
- Language abilities
- Occupation
- Years of work experience and degree of expertise
- Job offer wage and/or skill level
- A strong desire to live, work and settle in a certain area.
Strategic priorities are factors that satisfy particular labour market demands in British Columbia or that support government experimental initiatives and activities. It is possible to send invitations to particular persons. Invitations can be modified to meet specific BC government objectives, such as assisting certain economic sectors, increasing regional immigration, supporting strategic pilot initiatives, and ensuring programme integrity.
Candidates who are most likely to satisfy the economic and labour market demands of British Columbia will be ranked, selected, and invited based on the information supplied in their registrations. For the IT worker draw, a minimum score of 85 was necessary, while for healthcare and childcare workers, a minimum score of 60 was required.
