Thousands of horror stories on the internet sound real but have no logical or approved claims to mark them as real-life encounters. This is what makes them even more exciting. The oblivious state these stories leave you in is a definite joy no other can bring.
A Peeling Situation
A young couple had recently moved into their house and were renovating it to fit their liking. The husband has taken it upon himself to be in charge of the construction to ensure they weren't wasting money on labor.
The wife was responsible for peeling off all the wallpaper the old homeowner had applied since it was obviously old and did not fit the aesthetic the couple liked. The wife had stated that the peeling process was rather satisfying, comparing the process with peeling the skin off after a bad sunburn.
With each layer taken off, the wife noticed certain names specified with dates written. The wife compiled a list, and each name and date was written. Upon research, the names were of those who had gone missing. The dates con-sided with the dates the people had been reported missing. The authorities were called, and upon inspection, the wallpaper was indeed skin. Each layer was carefully plastered with delicacy to cover the whole house. A unique addition to a rather creepy house.
Mismatched
A house in Texas, Dallas, called the police on their neighbors. The informers had complained about how they could smell something rotting from their neighbor's backyard and could not get in contact with the owners even after personally visiting them. The stench reached a point where their children could not sleep in their rooms, and they needed to keep their back doors shut to avoid the horrid smell.
The police arrived and were greeted by the smell the neighbors complained about. After waiting about 5 minutes and receiving no response, the police officers decided to go round back and check what the matter was. Walking up to a hole dug in the ground, they found bodies of several humans along with weird inscriptions written on cards and added to the mix. The bodies had been there for a few days. The men immediately called for backup and decided to enter the house. The house itself had random blood splatters on the walls. Multiple stained corners reeked of excretory waste. The rooms had multiple pentagons, and the family was nowhere to be found.
The bodies retrieved from the hole did not match the family that lived in the house. The family itself had vanished without a trace and had not been seen for a few days. This mystery remains as such, and the family, as well as the bodies found in the hole, need to be identified and found.
New Friends
The Lancaster family could never seem to have kids. They tried with all their resources and selfishly wanted to expand their family and wanted their name to go and live through multiple generations. With time they got what they needed. Multiple failed attempts and hospital visits had paid off. They finally had a kid. Everything seemed to be fine over the years, all until the child started speaking.
He wouldn't stop talking about seeing so many people living in the same house as them. Randomly pointing someone out and then crying over how they aren't friendly. This went on for a while, and the parents grew worried. Specialists, therapists, you name them, the family had visited them, hoping their child would be normal.
Most of the time, the child would casually mention that "they" did not want him there and that all the misfortunate happenings were not the family's fault but intentional killings.
The family decided to move out of the house and shift to a new neighborhood far away from the previous one. Though now 35 and 40, the family finally had another set of twins and could happily live as a family of 4.

A Power Shortage
It is very rare for the power to go out in New York. The concrete jungle rarely goes blank and is always lively lit. So, when the power in her new apartment did go out, it certainly came as a surprise for Nancy. She considered this a random power outage and decided to sit on her bed and wait for the blackout.
She feels a sudden thump on her bed, ignoring it as one of her cats. Nancy continues to use her phone unaware of what is happening around her. After the third thump Nancy grew cautious, realizing that she indeed does only have 2 cats. She raises her head to face her walls, and her eyes slowly adjust to her dark room. Staring back at her are hundreds of red eyes, greeting her in not a very kind manner. Shocked and scared, she runs out of her and enters the hallway. Upon arrival, she realized that the whole complex was perfectly lit, and there had been no power outage.
She was then told about the multiple other tenants that live alongside her, and they simply wanted to give her a warm welcome to the family.
