A Double Block and Bleed Valve is a practice of shutting the pipe on both side of the valve where in other valves the shutting of the pipe is available only on one side. It has two valve seating as it has two handles init. This type of valve provides seal against pressure from a single source.They are helpful in preventing product contamination. The main purpose of this valve is to isolate or block the medium in the system so that the medium from the upstream does not reach the components in the downstream. They work on the principle that isolation can be achieved from both sides of the valve. Using these valves saves time as it can do the work of three different valves by itself.
