Materials with adhesive properties are known as sealants, and they are used to fill, waterproof, and seal joints and gaps between two surfaces. Sealants are frequently used in dental care to fill cavities because of these qualities. Additionally, adhesives are divided into two groups, structural adhesive and nonstructural adhesives, based on their high tensile and shear strengths. The technology and chemical formulation used in adhesives and sealants are similar.
