Playing a shallow bombshell that sees Jon as a tool to manipulate Johansson demanding Barb is another departure from the norm from an actor in the film and she delivers whenever she is onscreen. Add in a brisk and well paced running time and a brilliant turn from Tony Danza as Jon Sr and you get a mostly satisfying and enjoyable first feature from Gordon Levitt. He certainly seems to have his own distinct voice that should fuel what his future projects will be which should leave audiences intrigued to see what is next.
