How is a Variable Message Sign Programmed?
Variable Message Markers are used in a wide range of applications

Variable Message Markers are used in a wide range of applications. From traffic control and roadworks to events and sales. A variable message sign is a unique messaging system that gives you complete control over where, when, and how your messages are displayed.

Simple web-based systems are used for programming VMS, and it is easy to use, even if you do not consider yourself a computer expert. It is accessible through your computer's Internet browser or your smartphone or tablet.

A single login allows you to digitally manage multiple VMS trailers simultaneously, ensuring that your signs in the field show exactly what you want.

The software used to program the VMS board is easy to use and understand. The graphical interface is accessed through a simple login screen, and once in the program, you can remotely customize, manage, search, and convert one or more VMS.

This makes it easy to organize signage remotely, so you can ensure that displayed text and images are always relevant to the current state of road works or traffic.

Any changes you make to the message itself, as well as the time intervals, brightness, and many other settings are visible on your online control panel, so you can be sure that what you have programmed will be copied exactly to the sign.

Once you have edited your message and settings, and are satisfied with the variable message log settings, simply click the upload button to send all the data directly to your VMS.

Take a look at all your VMS trailers at a glance. The simple interface allows you to test any combination of text, colors, font sizes, and symbols before uploading your final message to your VMS for viewing.

And if you have more than one VMS, each unit is easy to find and distinguish, as each has its own unique identification number and is programmed separately to avoid confusion.

VMS software offers you complete customization of your message, including a freehand drawing of custom formats. With dozens of pre-programmed icons, including quick discs, a variety of arrows, worker icons, and more, it is easy to create a message tailored to your individual location.

If you need to add street names, suburbs, or other custom words, just write your text in the blank, then highlight individual words or letters to change their color if necessary. You can set the entire screen to turn on / off, or just one word.

For short messages where you want to maximize the available text area, you can increase the font size to cover most of the screen. Longer messages can be programmed using additional 'slides', allowing the VMS to float between two or more screens.

If you don't need to show the sign 24/7, can you set specific time windows? For example, if you are using your VMS for in-store sales and you want to schedule your sign to advertise only during opening hours, set time slots in this software.

It is easy to schedule your VMS just to display your message between 9 am and 5 pm on the Schedule tab. Enter dates, times, days of the week, and even schedule a different message to display at the end of your sale or event. The VMS software allows the customization of all types of dates and times.
