LTE Market

LTE was the 4G successor to the 3G UMTS system, and it was created to provide a more advanced mobile telecommunications system. The concept, which provides substantially faster data rates, increased performance, and cheaper operational costs, began to be deployed in its basic form about 2008. Initial installations were termed 3.5G or 3.99G since they provided minimal increase over 3G HSPA, but after the full capabilities of LTE was realised, it delivered a full 4G level of performance.

The earliest LTE installations were simply referred to as LTE, while later deployments were dubbed 4G LTE Advanced, and then 4G LTE Pro. Not only was the radio access network upgraded for 4G LTE, but the network design was revised as well, resulting in decreased latency and enhanced interconnection between RAN parts.
