Fake profiles and scammers. The popularity meter in itself is a scam provided by Bumble to generate revenue for themselves.

Bumble is dodgy bough a 12 month membership for about $90 and then they charged my CC again another $70 6 months later. Regardless there are much better dating sites that are free.
