Jewelry must now evoke both classic and contemporary charm. This season design-centric head accessories are on trend such as headgears, headbands etc. Big nose rings (nath) and hathphools with detachable pieces like ring, bangle, and chain are also quite in right now. Big earrings/shoulder dusters are great to pair with gowns on the cocktail/mehndi night. Avoid wearing multi-layered necklaces – it’s passé. Keep styling simple with one statement jewelry piece with an already-elaborate wedding ensemble.
These days we get requests for multi-wear pieces as brides want to make the most of the huge investments that they make in jewelry. Reversible, detachable and multi-colored pieces can be worn with many looks. Today, brides want to enjoy the best of both worlds – traditional and modern – and demand pieces that are versatile.
Our latest collection titled ‘Firoza’ is primarily turquoise in color. We have created modern and chic versions of haathphools, headgears and reversible necklaces with dual meena colors, which are all must-have bridal pieces.
We have designed reversible jewellery like the gem-set Katla necklace and a jhumki pair. They feature Firoza colour scheme on one side and Svarnaraga on the other. The Firoza collection has soft turquoise colour against intricate gold work whereas Svarnaraga is a take on understated elegance with gold and ivory colour. These different colour palettes with distinct designs on each side add character to the piece – two for the price of one!
The long katla necklace includes 15 square plaques with special arrangement of pieces from the biggest one in the centre to smaller ones on the sides. The intricate jhumkis have a detachable stud pair, which makes them my most favourite jewellery piece.
