Abhay Rathore is quite versatile and hardworking teacher. As well as a he is a musician. This man with many difficulties in his path has proven to be a source of inspiration for many. What he keeps in mind is his father's advice to him "good is simplistic in nature while bad tempts. Your thoughts guide your action" So let's go through his story and see how it helped him becoming an outstanding mentor.

 

From struggle to inspiration, the adventure continues

 

Abhay Rathore is a teacher as well as a musician. Having started from home tuitions, he soon found his place in Chattisgarh's leading private university-MATS university. He remembers his interview fairly well how interviewers were very concerned if he would be able to perform comfortably and equally to others. He says that people often doubt the abilities of physically challenged people. They sympathize with us, but what we rather need is empathy and space to grow and show our potential.

He says as a teacher he has always paid attention on student’s analytical skills. He recalls his first posting as Assistant professor in govt. Balasaheb Deshpande college, not only he was staying away from his parents for the first time but the journey was really rough from Kunkuri to Jashpur .

 

Finding ways during his upbringing

 

“Anyone can have a child and call themselves a PARENT.  A real parent is someone who puts that child above their own selfish needs.”

 

Despite of being advised many times not to send him to a regular co-edschool, his parents admitted him into one and he proved to be an outstanding student with first division in class tenth and twelfth. His interest in music developed from an accident that distanced him from playing hockey, his favorite game, in his class 8th.

His father introduced him to music by giving him a Casio, PT-100 . He learnt music from his father and his uncle Shri Anjan Chatterjee. His first performance was with Charoda Mitra Mandal (Jain music group), where they got second prize. He has more than thousand live performances at different instances, 12 albums as music arranger, 10 albums as music composer. He has also directed music in one chattisgarhi film. One of his documentaries was based on Shri Naveen Jindal's win in court on hosting national flag at residences on Independence Day and republic day. His most recent shows include programs on DD-MP/CG Sureela safar based on old songs of Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey and Lata Mangeshkar.

While teaching in a remote tribal area with lesser facilities than the premier institutions, he connected students through WhatsApp groups and also gained good results. 

 

He has many more achievements; he headed the initiative for digital literacy campaign Vittiya Saksharata Abhiyan through students in local areas of Kunkuri and nearby villages during demonetization. He has also been cultural director of an NGO Disabled Welfare Organization Drug. He has an all Divyang orchestra group which performed in the house of Chattisgarh's chief minister, Vidhan Sabha bhawan.

 

 

His composition vandematram was chosen to be aired in radio Hyderabad. His journey is a never ending tale of success. He achieved everything he desired for. He found all his abilities despite of all odds in his life.
